Great food family atmosphere

Overall the food was okay. My problem is that if you are a down home country cooking kind of place, there shouldn't be canned green beans and mashed potatoes from a box. Disappointed.

We discovered the Cottage House today. It's a great place for selections of meat, vegetables and homemade desserts! We had fried chicken, potato salad, Cole slaw, green beans, corn bread, rolls, coconut pudding and strawberry pie! It was all simply delicious! Prices are very reasonable with nice size servings! Can't wait to go back Friday night to try their fried fish and shrimp. They are closed on Saturdays, but I'm told that Sunday selections make up for it!Went back on Friday for catfish and veggies! It's all great food!!Chicken livers, squash casserole, macaroni and cheese, roll, oreo pie and drink.And, on Fridays, beginning around 6 PM, there are local musicians playing a variety of religious and bluegrass music.

This was our first time here but we will be back when in the area. The food was very good only we had to add salt to everything. Very reasonable with meat, 2 vegetables, roll, drink and dessert just under $10.

Great southern cooking. I love the coconut pudding.

They have a cute country atmosphere in this restaurant. And some dog gone good southern cooking! They also have gifts you can buy like t-shirts, greeting cards, jewelry, and all kinds of odds and ends! They also have exceptionally clean restrooms! The staff always treats you like family! They have really good brewed sweet tea and their menu prices are very reasonable. There is also drive-thru service, call ahead pick up or dine in. There is ample parking space available as well.

Food was ok. If you are looking for comfort food this is one place to go. Is a typical old country style restaurant. Clean and good service.

Home cooking for sure. Every thing on buffet is really good I haven't tried short orders. Judging by love in the buffet, short orders should be great

My wife and I went there for lunch today from Cumming, Ga. We both enjoyed our meals. Food was delicious. All the staff were very nice. Restaurant and Restrooms were very clean.. we recommend it and we will go back.

We ate at cottage house yesterday and the food was fabulous, I had salmon patties and the hubby had fried chicken and we were filled with delight, chocolate cake for desert, they also have lovely hand made gifts that are equally as nice. We will be returning weekly and looking forward to all the delicious selections. Must try!!!!!!

Very Friendly and Helpful staff. Nice restaurant with amazing tasting “home cooked”, type food.In addition They offer a daily special that includes an entree, 2 Vegs, desert and beverage! We really enjoyed our meal. This Was our first visit to this restaurant, but it will not be our last!!

Was like haveing a double portioned frozen dinner. I had fillet catfish(which was good but fried a lil to long),broccoli casserole,creamed potatoes and gravy,and peach cobbler that to me,tasted like grease for some reason.i have heard people say it was good,maybe we picked the wrong night,idk

Best food in town.

The food is excellent for home cooking. Fried chicken is some of the best compared to anywhere in the U. S.. The vegetables are very good and desserts are awesome. You may have to stand in line to be served from lunch counter for a few minutes. Sunday's you can not order from the grill menu but sounded good.There were also a couple of salad choices at the lunch counter/buffet. They serve you at the counter not self serve. The prices are fabulous!

I visited the day after hurricane Irma devastated the area, everyone was very kind and we all came to get hot food. The staff was accommodating and the food was delicious. It was particularly clean and quick service. I unfortunately haven't been back since, but I'd love to visit again.

The food was so good! I had fried chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, fried okra and chocolate pie for dessert. The chicken was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside..delicious! Fried okra is a favorite of mine so I was happy to see it offered. The mashed potatoes and gravy were quite good. The chocolate pie was very good as well.The employees were very helpful and kept checking to see we had everything we needed.CDC guidelines were being followed and they even had masks for sale!. Thank you Cottage House we will be back!

We were so disappointed after reading the good reviews. We dined here July 3rd and we love country cooking. I can recommend the banana pudding. BUT their beef cubed steak with gravy was not edible. The green beans were straight out of a can, no seasoning. The mashed potatoes tasted like thin instant ones. The cole slaw was soupy and not good either. Their corn bread tasted store bought and very dry.

Country cooking, has been consistently good. We stop there for supper when we are in the area. It's a fav of locals. That tells you alot.

Looking for a restaurant close to our cabin rental and found this gem! We picked up to-go orders and they were piping hot and wonderful!! I would drive back down here just for the meatloaf and cole slaw! The packed parking lot let us know we made the right choice!
